Notes: eSchoolPLUS Elementary Office Managers “User Group”: 10/27/09, 1-2:30pm
- Medical/Dr. appointments: notes can be made in the Student Note tab: info will stay in the students notes and roll over from year to year. Medical Notes will also roll over from year to year. You can indicate sensitive or personal in a checkbox at the bottom of the page and then only those personnel with access to “sensitive” data will be able to view.
- Demographic>Personal: Comments section. Info will pop up with the yellow triangle to indicate a “caution”.
- Demographic > Addresses: Change of address: if you try to change a student’s address and get an warning message, try this:
- If the student is coming from Duncan Holbert, just like any other student ,they will get coded “53″.
On the “Personal Information” page: the “Hispanic Code” table has yet to be populated; as soon as it is, Bruce will notify you. Please leave alone until this time.
Report Cards: Not integrated with eSP at this time as the eSP system is competency based and the current report card for the elementary level are not in that format.
- Programs > Instructional Setting > default to “Reg” for regular program.
- Add to Favorite”: go to the screen that you want to add to your favorite (on homepage and on top of folders) and add by clicking on the top right button with the pink heart shape: “Favorites”. To delete a favorite, on the homepage, click on the “Change Settings” at the bottom right of the box.
- Cognos report review: Attendance code > Tardy
- How to get attendance by individual student: Cognos Reports > Attendance View- Detail_Elementary by Student
- How to get attendance by teacher: Cognos > Elementary_Teacher_Attendance: listed by teacher. * Make sure to “Save As” in an Excel format first, before manipulating, as it will be in Web Page format coming from eSP.
Broken Report: Cognos > attenance reports > summary attendance reports (modified May 26, 2009)
- If a student is absent for more than 1 day, open the attendance “year view” and
Student Center > Search > Attendance > Year View > Click in each box for dates to manipulate > Range > enter the absence code in the drop down menu > Save
- To get a perfect attendance report: Attendance Center> Reports > Perfect Attendance:
enter dates (start & end) > Run
- Collaborate, Share, Communicate, Troubleshoot issues pertaining to the work of Registrar.
- For RC Run #2: make sure template has mailer & permit info & change to read: “To the Parents of:”
- Take “Return Service Requested” off the template for WHS
- How to “log new request”: PVUSD Homepage > Technical Support > Login: first_last, NO password, Request Type: eSchoolPLUS, be as specific as possible with the details of the “problem”, contact info, etc…

Internet Use Agreement Search - This document shows how to use the Advanced search feature in eSchoolPlus to create a list of students that have a blank, N or Y in Internet Use Agreement field.
To use the “Advanced Search” feature to run a list of your students contact info, grade, ID, etc…enter the following into your search:
Follow the following path to get to the window:
Mark Reporting > Report > IPR > Mark Summary Report
In the window, enter the following info:
IPR Date: The date you are looking for info. (ex: 09/11/09)
Print Marks: “Selected” (Ex: C-, D+, D, D-, F)
Mark Types: “Selected” : PROG (Progress)
Check Boxes: Check the following…
Print All Courses & Include the report statistics in the report field.
Filter by grade level(s) that are being searched.
If you are trying to run advanced searches to run lists associated to a course and coarse section, in the advanced search page, include the following fields in the search. (In addition to the “A” for active students)
Area: Master Schedule Field Name: Course Condition: equals Value: (Course, ex: 2000)
Area: Master Schedule Field Name: Course Section Condition: equals Value: (Course Section Number, ex: 1)
If your teachers are using the “Gradebook” feature and you are responsible for changing student schedules, this info will be helpful!
Before you transfer a student out of a section, and you want to print out their grades to this point, follow this path to get that info:
Student Center > Mark Reporting > Published Course Work
Then you can access the grades the student has before yoou tranfer them out of the class and into the next!
