So this post is for all those tech integration grant folks. I just wanted to show you how easy it is to post information on our blog server. Many teachers have started using blogs with their students not just to post info on homework and classroom news, but as a curricular tool where students read and write their thoughts and ideas about a topic. Here is a good example of a blog where students are engaged in writing and commenting on the teacher’s posts. Susan Murphy’s Blog or this one Rick Lober’s Blog

Then there are some schools starting to use blogs for collaboration, like Starlight. Their leadership team has a blog where the assistant principal post agenda items and other issues that they need to work on, then staff members can post comments and ideas before meetings or in some cases instead of meetings. They just started this experiment this week. Check out Starlight’s Keyplanner’s Blog

Some teachers are starting to post some of their students’ multimedia projects on their blog or use digital storytelling tools to record story books like on Alex Gatica’s Blog

I have recently started a Technology Liaison blog where I am posting info for liaisons as well as a few tech lessons that might be useful to them such as this cool word art lesson on The Tech Liaison Blog

Anyway, if you do not currently have a blog and would like one, let me know and I will set one up for you and see to it that you get some training and you will be bloggin before ya know it. -Dan
