Read at least 20 pages of your chapter book.

Write an expository paragraph of 10-15 sentences in which you describe the different things that you are thankful and explain why you are thankful for those things.

Study for your spelling quiz.

Get your Accelerated Reader contract signed.

Read at least 20 pages from your chapter book.

Write 15 sentences with your spelling words (Dinosaur Ghosts).  Be sure to also include Bigfoot in each of your sentences.

Read at least 20 pages from your chapter book.

Get your Accelerated Reader Contract signed by your parents at the bottom of the contract.  Make sure that YOU sign it as well.

REMEMBER LIBRARY BOOKS!

Read at least 20 pages from your chapter book.

Think about your report card and some goals that you have for the second trimester.  In a paragraph of about 10-15 sentences write about some of your goals and how you plan to achieve them.

Bring in a baby picture for the yearbook page. (optional)

Read at least 20 pages from your chapter book.

Write a 10-15 sentence description of your baby picture.  If you want to include your baby picture in the yearbook, bring in your picture with your name on the back.

Please complete your map of Mesopotamia by the end of the day tomorrow.

Read at least 20 pages of your chapter book.  Remember that you should be reading at least 100 pages a week.

OPTIONAL ASSIGNMENT: In a few weeks our class will be working on a mural for the school with a SPECTRA artist.  The artist wants to work with two individuals, one boy and one girl, from our class on Thursday.  These individuals will share their ideas with the artist.  If you want to be one of these individuals, you need to write a letter to our class explaining why you want to represent our class and some of your ideas for the mural.  Your letter needs to be turned in to Mr. Miller on Thursday morning.

Your map of Mesopotamia is due on Friday.

Read at least 20 pages of your chapter book .

Write a story that tells what happened to Amelia Earhart.  Be sure to include details from one of the theories that was mentioned in the textbook selection.  Your story should  be at least 10-15 sentences.

GET READY FOR SOME PIZZA! The Toyota Ticket Celebration is tomorrow from 10:30-11:45.

Read 20 pages of your chapter book.  Remember that tomorrow is the last day to earn points for this trimester’s Accelerated Reader grade.

Write 15 sentences with your spelling words (Amelia Earhart).  Be sure to include Amelia Earhart in each of your sentences.

Remember to bring in your Mesopotamia Brochure tomorrow if you did not turn it in today.

Read at least 20 pages of your chapter book.  If you did not turn in your response from last night, please make sure you bring it in tomorrow.

Finish your full-page colored picture from The Last Quest of Gilgamesh.

Finish your Mesopotamian Achievement Brochure.  You need to illustrate and write details of achievements in the fields of agriculture, building, writing, measurement, and transportation.  Be sure to include a map.

Read at least 20 pages of your chapter book.  Remember that you should be reading at least 100 pages a week.

Take one of your responses that you wrote today in class and elaborate on your response.  Tell me more and add more details and thoughts to your original response.  Your response should be at least 10-15 sentences and you can submit your response here.  For extra credit, attach an image of the book that you are reading.

Remember your library books.

Complete your Mesopotamia Brochure.  Remember that you can get to the textbook online by clicking on ‘Textbooks’ under ‘Categories’ and following the directions.
